What we did on our summer vactation lol!!

Hey everyone,
sorry it has been a little bit since my last project, but here it is!!
I tried making a pumpkin pie for my hubby and could not find enough counter top in my kitchen. Sooooo, I decided we needed to take some cabinets off the wall and build a kitchen island.
Sounds like hard work doesn't it?  But really it wasn't.  Most parts were purchased from Home depot
(feet and corbels) and the bead board was purchased at Lowe's, which was weird because I couldn't find painted bead board at Home Depot? I hope you enjoy the following videos.  They are not real technical lol, but you might get some ideas for inexpensively revamping your own kitchen.  I can hardly wait til spring to redo the tops on this the way I did the bathroom sink.
Let me know what you think or tell me about your own island journey.

Knitting machine fun

Hey all,
hope today finds you in somewhat good spirits.  The weather here in Columbus Ohio is just lovely,
not too hot and not too cold. I finally got a chance to play with my knitting machine...A singer sk155 bulky, here is a picture of a little baby hat and sweater I was able to complete.  The pattern is a freebie from the DFW machine knitters website, called an all in one.
It was fun to do when I finally got it completed it is definitely a learning experience.

Here we go!! Let's paint a sink!!

Hi Everyone,

I am so excited!!  Here is my 1st official project for my blog.  Now when I started this blog, I thought, hmmm, I'll show some sewing...and I'll show some machine knitting, and I'll show some embroidery...
But then I started fixing up some things around the house, and decided to redo my bathroom.
I have some big plans for later, as in tearing out walls and adding a double sink and yada yada yada,  so for now I just wanted to make it look nice and do it for the least amount of money possible.
I did a little research on you tube and found some ideas and decided to paint the sink since it was an eyesore, and I didn't want to replace the top yet, not at 168.00 for the cheapest. So here ya go, here are 3 videos showing start to end. Now mind you I still have to paint the bathroom, but I was so excited in the results....hope you enjoy too!! And maybe you will try it too and send me some pics!!

Experiment with blogging

Well, here we go. I love reading blogs.  There is such a vast amount of information available, for those who have time to discover it.
So I have decided to invest a few minutes and start talking about what I love to do and how I do it.
That's going to involve a few different things, a few you tube videos and hopefully some responses from those who read my posts.
So bear with me as I first of all figure out exactly how to blog and decorate and design my pages and come up with something interesting to say.
